Butterscotch Monkey Bread

Butterscotch Monkey Bread

This year I want to try something a little different here at Julie’s Jazz.  Day after day I browse Pinterest, Google+, foodgawker, TwitterInstagram, and StumbleUpon for new recipes and ideas for recipes.  Ninety-nine percent of the time each of these recipes gets tucked away under a board category or list and forgotten about.  This year I want to try some of these recipes out.  I want to give back to my fellow food bloggers by actually trying out some of their recipes.  I don’t want to only use other bloggers recipes to garner ideas and adapt their recipes for my own blog.  I want to actually make some of these recipes using all of the exact ingredients the original author intended.  Like, literally, follow their recipes! Butterscotch Monkey Bread|www.juliesjazz.com

I always wonder if people have tried any of my recipes. I wonder if they’ve worked for people and if people have liked them. My goal for the year is to come up with one original recipe (my own) and then try out another food blogger’s recipe each week. The photos I post on this blog, for this new project, will be photos I take of the food I make from other peoples recipes.  I will link to the original recipes on the original author’s blog.   To kick off this new category I’m starting with this sweet, simple, festive bread from Half Baked Harvest.

I didn’t want to begin with something too difficult and get overwhelmed with the prospect of my new endeavor.  I noticed this recipe on Half Baked Harvest a couple of weeks ago.  Tieghan is the creator of Half Baked Harvest.  I’m drawn to her blog by her gorgeous food photographs and unique recipes.  This monkey bread is actually not typical of Tieghan’s individual style, but it looked so good that I couldn’t resist.

I’m glad I didn’t!  This monkey bread was gooey, pillow soft, and perfectly sweet.  It begs to be eaten at a family brunch or holiday breakfast.  Tieghan calls it Mom’s Ridiculously Easy Butterscotch Monkey Bread. If it looks good to you and if Butterscotch Monkey Breadyou are dying to try the recipe, like I was, you can find it over at Half Baked Harvest. Just follow these links you won’t be sorry you did!!!Butterscotch Monkey Bread

I think it’s great you are trying other bloggers recipes; I feel like it keeps the world a little smaller (and more cozy) for doing it. Good luck in your endeavour!
