figure competition prep. my daily journal

15 weeks out!

Let’s see. If I were going to edit this pic the first thing to go would be the sweet veins sticking out of my forehead!

Next, I’d give myself a tan. Maybe brighten up my dull locks.

Whatever! Let’s talk about diet.

I learned a valuable lesson the other day.

Now that my diet and workout routines are paying off and I’m seeing all kinds of crazy results, I obviously know everything there is to know about diet, exercise, and the road to the “Best You!” Right?

Wrong, I don’t know shit!

It takes years and years to understand your body and as soon as you think you do, it will change, and you’ll have to start again.

Hopefully by then you’ll have a few basics down so you’ll have a solid place to start.

For someone to tell you what you should eat or how much you should eat is complete garbage!

I can only tell people what I’m doing, what I’ve done, and what I’m thinking of doing in the future. I can’t tell them what to do or what will work for them. My diet and exercise prescription is not the same as yours. Our bodies and goals for our bodies are different. And on top of that our bodies and goals are always changing.

That said, I don’t think posting my experiences and my food journal entries is a waste of time for me or whoever reads this blog.

I’ve gleaned hundreds of ideas from other people’s diet and exercise websites and social media sites. It’s how I came up with what I’m doing now! And it’s undoubtedly how I’ll come up with my future diet and exercise ideas.

So, ya. I’m a diet and exercise guru who holds jurisdiction over this one body. My body.

I really appreciate people who share and have shared their ideas and personal experiences about their diet and fitness journeys.

Here’s an excellent article that expounds on my point:

Anatomy of the Perfect Diet.”
