Hot White Chocolate Steel Cut Oats

You've got to try steel cut oats if you haven't already! The have a wonderfully chewey texture. And they're supposed to be super healthy.

Servings 1 bow full

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup 40 g raw steel cut oats
  • 8 oz. water
  • pinch kosher salt
  • 1/2 tsp. pumpkin pie spice
  • 15 g vanilla protein powder I used Plant Fusion Vanilla Bean
  • 15 g white chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Boil water in a small pot over medium heat. Add the salt.
  2. Stir the oats into the boiling water. Stir.
  3. Turn the heat down to medium low.
  4. Put the lid on the pot let the oats simmer for 10 to 20 minutes ( I like my oats Al Dente so I cooked mine for 10 minutes)
  5. After the oats are cooked to your liking, stir in the protein powder and pumpkin pie spice.
  6. scrape into a serving bowl and sprinkle on white chocolate chips. EAT!!!
