FRIDAY FUN

Friday fun at an Idaho falls food blog

FOOD

I forget about soup.

When I was in my early 20’s Sam and I lived with my Granny for a couple of years.  Every once in awhile she would make a huge pot of vegetable soup.  She called it skinny soup.  I swear you could eat a million bowls of it and not gain an ounce! And, it was delicious!

Summer is around the corner. I have to get into a super cute little dress in less than two months.  I need to make some super healthy, flavorful, satisfying soup.  So, today, I’ve been digging around the internet for soup recipes.  I found a few I simply must share!

This sweet potato and lentil soup with charred corn and rosemary. When winter meets up with summer!

This Spring Greens Soup. I can just smell the mint getting married to the garlic!

This Best Ever Mushroom Soup. EARTHY!

This Cauliflower Chowder.  The word chowder makes my heart warm!

This Easy Thai Shrimp Soup. Yep, two from Damn Delicious because Chungah is so damn talented!

This Creamy Roasted Red Pepper and Cauliflower Soup with Goat Cheese. There’s not much left to say except, YUM!

This Creamy Spiced Cauliflower Soup.  So gorgeous!  It’s hard to not just stare and stare at this soup!

This Crock Pot Southwestern Corn & Potato Chowder. I LOVE citrus in soup!

This Carrot Soup. Vibrant!

This Green Chickpea & Chicken Curry with Swiss Chard. Last, but OH SO NOT, least!

FITNESS

Why Exercise is the Least Important Part of the Equation, an excellent weight loss article!

When I’m in the midst of trying to shed a few pounds I like to read before and after stories. I thought this one was particularly good because of the weight training aha moment.

FUN

I want to meet THIS CAT! I wanted Ben to look at these photos and he said,”I’m not looking at a damn internet cat!”  I had to laugh!
