How to Stay Motivated When It Comes to a New Fitness Routine

Friday Fun is getting postponed until next week because I wanted to get this fitness update post out before next week.

Two motivators that have really helped me this past week are the photos on this post and my “too tight” jeans.
I’m tired of playing a game I like to  call pants-up shirt-down. This game consists of me pulling up my stretchy jeans and pulling down my long cotton tee shirt about every five minutes all day long!
This happens because the weight I’ve accumulated around my waist line causes my shirt to ride up and my pants to ride down. It’s incredibly annoying! But, I refuse to buy bigger jeans because in two more weeks this will not be the case.  Pants-up shirt-down will be a distant memory.
This game pushes me each day because it’s a constant reminder of my fitness goals.

Oh man! I don’t realize how I really look until I take photos of myself.  When I see my mirror reflection I don’t see what I see in these photos.  I think photos are more honest than the mirror. Unless I’m in a department store dressing room. The wall mirrors under fluorescent lights in department stores are the most unforgiving of all! I should take photos of myself in the reflection of those mirrors for the ultimate in body honesty.

Am I making it seem like it was hard for me to post these? Because it really was.  But, I wouldn’t have if I didn’t think it would drive me to keep pace with my fitness routine and healthy lifestyle choices.  And maybe it will help someone else our there like me.

    Just like me when I am that weight….all butt, hips and thighs….no boobs to speak of. You actually look pretty good…going to get even better!
