IHOP

Sam’s Breakfast. Really? I take you to IHOP for breakfast and you get a burger? (I say, in my head again)

My Breakfast!

My Breakfast Dessert, who says you can’t have dessert with breakfast?
Baby’s Breakfast.  I was not willing to share.  Funny, baby let me have his bacon!

I decided to have a diet cheatday today. It is an extremely rare day when the four of us are all home in the morning at the same time, and I thought that going to breakfast would get us talking around a table instead of doing different things in separate rooms of our house.

Really?  This is what I said to myself (in my mind) when my 14 year old son said he wanted to go to IHOP for breakfast. I could not go back now, not when I had already asked him.  You see, it is a huge pet peeve of mine when someone asks, “Where would you like to go eat?” and you say______( where you want to go), and then they say, “Oh, well why don’t we go to ______ (the place they really wanted to go the whole time).” Then you end up going to their place, all the while asking yourself (in your head), “Why the hell did they even ask my opinion?”

It is also a huge pet peeve of mine to waste precious calories on food I really do not want to eat.  But, since I asked, I had to just go with it.  Maybe it was because I have not indulged in anything like this for a couple of months now, but I was actually pleasantly surprised by the food we ordered and its presentation. It actually looked like the photos on the menu! I really did not want to eat at a place that had pictures of its food on its menu today. But I do have to say that it hit the spot!
