Love At First Bite

Store Front

I have been dying to write about this boutique ever since I laid foot in it.  I know that it has been over a year since I tried one of their cupcakes “for the first time”.  Someone at work clued me in to the place.  My co-workers description of a “legendary” cupcake sealed the deal.  The cupcake I speak of is not a daily special, they are only baked on Saturdays, I believe.  It is a pancake cupcake, topped with maple frosting and sprinkled with fried bacon pieces.  If memory serves, there are also bits of bacon in the cake.  And yes, it tastes as fantastic as it looks and sounds!  I have not tried everything this store has to offer, yet!  To do so could take a lifetime!

When I journeyed to their store yesterday I was pretty sure I would not find the mother lode of cupcakes, because it was a Wednesday, but as you can see this boutique is not short on delicacies.  It has everything you would wish for in a specialty gourmet food store as well. The details in the decorating are surprising as well.  The dishes they display their fresh baked and fresh made items on are so attractive.  It is actually hard to write this because there are so many cool things in this store.  They have cupcakes, cookies, truffles, caramel apples, flowers, jewelry, desserts, chocolate, fudge, toffee, candy, candles, oils, pasta, sauces, and dips.  These are only the items I can recall from my photos.  I am sure that I am missing hundreds of things! Many of their items are homemade there in the store.  They even have a small vintage candy section for a trip down memory lane. Also, describing their apples as caramel apples is the understatement of the century.  These things are gorgeous.  They are coated in caramel, chocolate, candy, marshmallows, etc… My photo does not do them justice!  You must visit the store if only to experience the most marvelous scent assault on your nose it could ever dream of asking for!  Someone should make a candle called “Love at First Bite, The Store.”

I am going to keep this boutique in mind for a fun place to get someone a gift card.  People, especially mothers (me included), have a hard time buying themselves little indulgences.  But if someone gets me a gift card, then I feel I have no choice!  Also their cupcakes, caramel apples, pretzel rods, or small personal containers of fancy fudge would make great parting party gifts!

Can you tell that I love, love, love this place?

If you go to their website you can order many of the items they carry in their store.

So, Thank You “Love at First Bite” and “Chocolate Box Creations” for tempting our taste buds with all the good stuff!

P.S. Don’t worry, I’m still on my diet.
