I could not resist giving you a glimpse of the inviting texture of their icing!

The Cocoa Bean located at, 2545 S 25^th E in Idaho Falls, ID,  appears as though it could be a franchise type establishment at first glance.  With its simple, clean, and homey décor, you could just picture one of these stores at every busy intersection.  They also have a blog.

So I asked the super nice, and handsome, man behind the counter if The Cocoa Bean is indeed a chain.  He said that he and his sister own it and that they have two other stores in Idaho and Utah that they are co- owners of.

The Cocoa Bean is primarily a cupcake boutique.  And this makes me happy because, I love cupcakes, and their cupcakes are super unique as well as scrumptious!  I was first introduced to these delights at a baby shower, and have wanted to make a trip to the store ever since that day.

The store has a wide variety of cupcake flavors.  They keep a chart outside their store which indicates which flavors of cupcakes they will have in supply on each day of the week.  The day I visited (my cheat day a couple of weeks ago) their selection did not disappoint, as I am sure it never does!

While there, I learned that they recently collaborated with our local, “Reed’s Dairy” to blend their cupcake flavors with Reed’s famous ice cream.  So when you pick up a half dozen of your favorite cupcakes you can have a signature ice cream to match!  How clever would that be for a birthday celebration? What a decadent idea!  The owner let me sample one of these brilliant concoctions of my choosing.  I could not pass up the frozen treat featuring chocolate and peanut butter!  It did not disappoint, YUM!!!
