In my undying quest to seek out cool and unique food related stores I found this gem, The Prepared Pantry.   I know that they have been around for quite awhile, but I just haven’t had the opportunity to go there until last weekend.  The store was much larger, and carried way more products, than I expected.  I wanted to buy everything!  I snapped some photos to remind myself of some of their mixes I definitely want to try.  They do all of their own blending and packaging of their baking mixes.  And since they do this themselves they are able to leave out hydrogenated fats.  I believe they also try to stay away from preservatives as well, and even use special Mylar packaging to increase the shelf stability of their products.  They have a great website where you can also order their products.  They have baking mixes for practically everything you can think of. Breads, pancakes, cookies, scones, rolls, doughnuts, and other dessert mixes. And then, on top of all of that, the have huge selections of gourmet foods, baked goods decorating supplies, and baking and cooking supplies.  I literally could have wandered around their shop for a couple of hours conjuring up cooking ideas!
